One More Request...

Rest for Mom is rare. Please no phone calls, and absolutely no visitors. The risk of infection is way too high, and as much as she'd love to see your shining face, she doesn't need any germs.

Which reminds me, have you gotten your flu shot yet?

If you want to say hello, her favorite thing to do is read comments on the blog, or send an email through the St. Francis system.

Thank you for understanding!

Yours truly, Nurse Ratchet

I would love to sent a "shout out" to Babette! I wasn't sure how to contact her, but now that I know she reads the blog I'll leave more messages:)You all are amazing. I especially love the "one liners". I have allergies this time of year, so visiting is out of the question anyway, but know that I am always thinking of you and sending good thoughts and prayers your way! Love you guys...

Hi Liz! We missed you at the wedding, but your hot-to-trot daughters put in their share PLUS your share of dancing the night away! We love you very much, Sharyn and Jeff

Hi Tante! Just wanted you to know that Jeff and I think of and pray for you daily, and we find your positive spirit (as relayed by your daughters) to be incredibly uplifting. (Hmmm... it should probably be the other way around--we should be the ones encouraging you!) Either way, know that we love you very much! (Oh, and Monica, could you start making more literary references in your posts and then perhaps offer prizes to the first one to cite the source? I love some Cuckoo's Nest in the evening!)

We are all sending love beams your way from the cold north woods of Maine. Six inches of the white stuff fell in Northern most Maine today. Did you get the Immune Soup package I sent last week? I would check it out with your doctor before partaking, but it certainly sounds like it might be helpful. Since much of it is mushrooms it gets the great blessing from our mushromm king - Dimitri. I'm going to go over to say hi to your dad, sounds like he could use a visit. I finally arrived back home Monday night after taking care of my mom while she underwent her breast cancer surgery. She got the word yesterday that she has just stage one cancer, so we are celebrating. Love you all care receivers and care givers alike.

OK, so NOW we know how to blog! We have been eagerly following Monica and Gwennie's loving and personal reports, but only just now figured out how to respond! Liz, if WE can figure it out, anyone can! Loads of good vibes, prayers and hugs are coming to you this minute. There are some pretty amazing women up there in Avon, and we are inspired by each and every one of you.
